Our History

Proma Industries Limited was incorporated in 1991 as a Textile Trading house with the vision to trade in Polyester Yarn. It also provided sound consultancy services for Spinning Units of Synthetic Yarn. Since then it has solidified and expanded its footprint in the textile trade. It grew organically over the years and forayed into manufacturing of Polyester Yarn, Chenille Yarn and Recycled Fibre. Today it is an established trade house and has a strong presence in all types of Fiber and Yarns.

pramod gupta

Dr. Pramod Gupta is the Promoter of Proma Group and is a textile technocrat with over 40 years of experience in the Industry. He was the President at LNJ Bhilwara Group before starting out at a first generation entrepreneur. His keen administrative acumen, resourcefulness, and strong commitment to ethics has helped guide Proma Industries to a leadership position in the domestic textile market. He has been a mentor to many successful entrepreneurs in the textile industry and continues to share a close personal relationship with them. He is a Gold-Medalist MBA from Poddar Institute of Management and holds a PhD in Finance. 

akshay gupta

Akshay Gupta has rich experience in the Spinning and Home Furnishing Industry with over 8 Years experience. He is an excellent project manager and has implemented from the group-up the manufacturing projects of Proma. He has worked at Lehman Brothers as an Investment Banker and has an MBA in Finance from NMIMS, Mumbai. 

pratik gupta

Pratik Gupta has experiences in broad range of sectors; before foraying into textiles, he worked in prominent MNCs doing Business Valuations, Private Equity Syndication and Asset Reconstruction.  Currently he is spearheading the trading and Recycled PSF manufacturing divisions at Proma. He has degrees from Warwick University, UK and National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
